We're looking for an ambitious M&A Intern to help us on our growth journey. You will be responsible for researching the European pet care market, and presenting findings and suggestions on acquisition prospects for PBG. The M&A Intern are to analyze potential acquisition targets, scoop efficiencies and optimization actions, and present the finding to senior PBG management. 

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape PBG’s strategically highly relevant M&A department. You will work close with to our management team, ops team, and legal team. 

Responsibilities

  • You identify, reach out to and engage with a large number of brands & sellers within the pet care market; besides generating leads and managing funnel, you will also support communications during due diligence and subsequent negotiations
  • You identify and optimize communication channels 
  • You identity operational efficiency- and optimization areas of the targets
  • You develop a network of brokers and multipliers 
  • You conduct first analysis of Amazon seller’s fit and sales history, including basic legal assessment
  • You promote PBGs through persistent outreach (phone and email)


Requirements

  • MSc/BSc student within Business or Engineering. 
  • Experience of internships/work within e-Commerce or Amazon, or similar roles in Venture Capital, Private Equity, or M&A environment is a strong merit
  • You are already familiar with e-Commerce KPIs and financial statements.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to dig through data, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • You are capable of handling deadlines and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment with fire drills coming up on a near-daily basis.
  • You are a highly analytical (proficiency in Excel is a must) self-starter who can manage multiple projects and figure out complex problems without a lot of oversight.
  • You enjoy working cross-functionally in a diverse environment, always bringing positive attitude, reliability and transparency.
